Get Ready for Milestones Writing with the Prompt Patrol!
Use this Reader's Theater to prepare students for the writing tasks on the GA Milestones test.

Getting elementary school students ready for their first Milestones testing experience can be challenging, especially when you are trying to help students understand the writing portion of the ELA test. On Day One of the Milestones test, students respond to a writing prompt. They have plenty of time to plan, write, and revise but too often, students will write for 10 or 15 minutes and stop! I could tell that they needed some help remembering to focus in on what the prompt says to do. I wrote a Reader's Theater inspired by the Disney Channel series The Paw Patrol. It was so much fun to read this script with students and to hear a few giggles as they learned. I hope that you enjoy these resources:
